Mobile App: My Conference Keeper
This is an app for professionals in any field to keep conference notes, links to websites, PDF presentations, digital business cards, and recordings of meeting points. The app saves notes and digital handouts for later reference without the hassle of keeping pages together in physical files or briefcases. Users can share notes, contact information, handouts, and web links through the "share" setting on the app, as well as back up files and documents to prevent their loss.
It all started when...
You lose an important document or forget your conference notes at the restaurant where you had lunch. Business cards pile up in your purse or wallet and it's time consuming to search through them. You need a quick reference to a learning document given to you at the last conference, but it's in a different file in your office.
Business professionals attend a plethora of meetings and conferences every year that are vital to how they perform their jobs. Important lectures, presentations, hand-outs, and business cards are exchanged at these events, and these items' storage becomes cumbersome and difficult to access. After hearing complaints from professionals about losing documents or otherwise not having information easily at hand, I conceptualized the app My Conference Keeper.
Below are the wireframe sketches for creation of the app.

I chose a clean-cut, proffessional design to solve the problem. A mostly neutral color palette called for accents of fun pops of blue and yellow.
While there are many features in the app, the symbols provide a clear indication of where those features are. Places to create new items, save and access old items, and store things you create give the user a
single app to organize their busy lives.

The calendar feature provides the user with a quick look at days that have events saved on them, past events, show what today’s date is, and highlights which days coming up are booked.
From “Today’s Itinerary” on the welcome screen and the “Calendar” screens, the user can look in detail at the day’s events, and add a new event.
The app lets users customize their profile and add Google+ groups with which to communicate and share items in the app. Users can also manage how the app notifies them, as well as back up data to the cloud to access on other devices.
