Why it matters

Graphic Design's ability to communicate complex ideas in creative ways, and to problem solve in an ever-evolving world is why I chose this path. Studying Anthropology was a natural fit to learn more about people and cultures, and instilled a love of research, as well as self-discipline. Being curious about the world and dedicated to authenticity inspires my research, and the adoption new solutions to a problem to create a positive experience for others. Being passionate about life and creativity enhances the means of expressing ideas in art and life, and of connecting with the audience.

Skill Sets & Hobbies

Adobe software

I am adept in using the Adobe Creative Suite, including: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.

web Design

My adventures in web design began with learning the basics of HTML and CSS, and experimenting with JavaScript. The continual potential for experimentation in web design engages my curiosity and desire for new challenges and learning opportunities.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

From catching live music to creating charcoal sketches, letterpress and screen printing, I love exploring new art mediums. A stack of books beside my bed, and a list of films and documentaries to catch up on feeds a constant input of new information and ideas help feed my designs.

Research & Design

Taking on new challenges is the best part of a new design project, and research is an essential part of that process. Thoroughly thinking through each step of the design process creates a solid foundation and deeper meaning to design.

Photography

Each person sees the world in a unique way, and photography is an articulate medium for expressing a variety of visions. This medium finds its way into many of my designs.

a true coloradan

When not sequestered away with a book or designing, you might find me rock climbing, practicing yoga, or skiing in the Rocky Mountains. Exploring the best food Denver has to offer keeps me going on all of my adventures.

Awards & Professional associations

Summa Cum Laude from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design. Member of the Colorado AIGA, and participant in the High Ground Design Conference in Buena Vista, Colorado.
